“Do not mutilate

Abdullah ibn Ja’far reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, passed by some people who were shooting arrows at a ram. He hated it and he said, “Do not mutilate your animals.”

[Sunan An-Nasa’i, Book of Sacrifices, Number 4440, Sahih]

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أُنَاسٍ وَهُمْ يَرْمُونَ كَبْشًا بِالنَّبْلِ فَكَرِهَ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ لَا تَمْثُلُوا بِالْبَهَائِمِ
