Hadith on Ablution: Ritual purification with water leads to purification from sin Posted: 27 Aug 2012 04:23 PM PDT Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “When the Muslim worshiper or believer washes his face, every sin he committed with his eyes will be washed away from his face along with the last drop of water; when he washes his hands, every sin he committed with his hands will be washed away along with the last drop of water;  when he washes his feet, every sin towards which his feet have taken him will be washed away along with the last drop of water, until the result is his purification from sin.” [Sahih Muslim, Book 2, Number 475] عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ الْعَبْدُ الْمُسْلِمُ أَوْ الْمُؤْمِنُ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ خَرَجَ مِنْ وَجْهِهِ كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ نَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا بِعَيْنَيْهِ مَعَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مَعَ آخِرِ قَطْرِ الْمَاءِ فَإِذَا غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ خَرَجَ مِنْ يَدَيْهِ كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ كَانَ بَطَشَتْهَا يَدَاهُ مَعَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مَعَ آخِرِ قَطْرِ الْمَاءِ فَإِذَا غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ خَرَجَتْ كُلُّ خَطِيئَةٍ مَشَتْهَا رِجْلَاهُ مَعَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مَعَ آخِرِ قَطْرِ الْمَاءِ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ نَقِيًّا مِنْ الذُّنُوبِ 244 صحيح مسلم كتاب الطهارة باب خروج الخطايا مع ماء الوضوء

Hadith on Quran: Allah raises the status of people or debases them because of the Quran Posted: 27 Aug 2012 12:02 PM PDT Amir ibn Wathila reported: Nafi ibn Abd al-Harith met Umar at Usfan and Umar had employed him as a collector in Mecca. Umar said to him, “Who have you appointed as a collector for the people of the valley?” He said, “Ibn Abza.” Umar said, “Who is Ibn Abza?” He said, “He is one of our emancipated slaves.” Umar said, “You have appointed a freed slave over them?” He said, “He is learned in the Book of Allah the Exalted and he is knowledgeable of the religious commandments.” Umar said: It is as your Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah raises the status of a people with this Book and he debases others.” [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Number 1780] عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ وَاثِلَةَ أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْحَارِثِ لَقِيَ عُمَرَ بِعُسْفَانَ وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَسْتَعْمِلُهُ عَلَى مَكَّةَ فَقَالَ مَنْ اسْتَعْمَلْتَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْوَادِي فَقَالَ ابْنَ أَبْزَى قَالَ وَمَنْ ابْنُ أَبْزَى قَالَ مَوْلًى مِنْ مَوَالِينَا قَالَ فَاسْتَخْلَفْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ مَوْلًى قَالَ إِنَّهُ قَارِئٌ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَإِنَّهُ عَالِمٌ بِالْفَرَائِضِ قَالَ عُمَرُ أَمَا إِنَّ نَبِيَّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْفَعُ بِهَذَا الْكِتَابِ أَقْوَامًا وَيَضَعُ بِهِ آخَرِينَ 817 صحيح مسلم كِتَاب صَلَاةِ الْمُسَافِرِينَ وَقَصْرِهَا رجل آتاه الله مالا فسلطه على هلكته في الحق ورجل آتاه الله حكمة فهو يقضي بها ويعلمها

Hadith on Quran: Whoever recites the verse of the Throne after every prayer will enter Paradise Posted: 27 Aug 2012 11:49 AM PDT Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “Whoever recites the verse of the Throne after every prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.” [At-Tabarani, Al-Ma’jam Al-Awsat, Number 8064, Sahih] عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ قَرَأَ آيَةَ الْكُرْسِيِّ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ لَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ مِنْ دُخُولِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَمُوتَ المعجم الأوسط للطبراني باب الميم من بقية من أول اسمه ميم موسى بن هارون

Hadith on Prayer: How the Prophet taught his companions to bless him while sitting in prayer Posted: 27 Aug 2012 11:27 AM PDT Ibn Abu Layla reported: Ka’b ibn Ujra met me and he said: Shall I not offer you guidance? The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, entered upon us and we said, “We know how to invoke peace upon you, but how do we invoke blessings upon you?” He said, “Say: O Allah, sanctify Muhammad and the family of Muhammad just as you have sanctified Abraham and the family of Abraham; verily, You are praiseworthy and glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad just as you have blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham; verily, You are praiseworthy and glorious.” [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Number 804] ابْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ لَقِيَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عُجْرَةَ فَقَالَ أَلَا أُهْدِي لَكَ هَدِيَّةً خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْنَا قَدْ عَرَفْنَا كَيْفَ نُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَ فَكَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ قَالَ قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ 406 صحيح مسلم كتاب الصلاة باب الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بعد التشهد
