Wathilah ibn Al-Asqa reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever defames a citizen (dhimmi), then he will be punished with whips of fire on the Day of Resurrection.”

عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ قَذَفَ ذِمِّيًّا حُدَّ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِسِيَاطٍ مِنْ نَارٍ
