“The poor person is not


Muhammad reported: Some people were priding themselves and they mentioned whether men or women would be a majority in Paradise. Abu Huraira said: I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him, say, “Verily, the first group to enter Paradise will have faces as bright as the full moon at night; and the next group will have faces as bright as shining stars in the sky; and every person will have two wives and the marrow of their shanks would glimmer beneath their skin and there will be no one in Paradise without a wife.”
[Sahih Muslim, Book 40, Number 6793]
مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ إِمَّا تَفَاخَرُوا وَإِمَّا تَذَاكَرُوا الرِّجَالُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَكْثَرُ أَمْ النِّسَاءُ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَوَ لَمْ يَقُلْ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا عَلَى أَضْوَإِ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ فِي السَّمَاءِ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ زَوْجَتَانِ اثْنَتَانِ يُرَى مُخُّ سُوقِهِمَا مِنْ وَرَاءِ اللَّحْمِ وَمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَعْزَبُ

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “If one of you were to carry a bundle of firewood on his back and sell it, that would be better for him than begging a man who may or may not give him anything.”

أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَنْ يَحْتَزِمَ أَحَدُكُمْ حُزْمَةَ حَطَبٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ فَيَبِيعَهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ رَجُلًا فَيُعْطِيَهُ أَوْ يَمْنَعَهُ

 Maymuna, the wife of the Prophet, reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saying, “Prayer in my mosque is one thousand times more virtuous than prayer anywhere else, except for the Ka’bah.”

مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ مَنْ صَلَّى فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الصَّلَاةُ فِيهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ إِلَّا مَسْجِدَ الْكَعْبَةِ

 Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “When Solomon son of David, peace be upon him, finished building the sacred house, he asked Allah for three things: judgment that was in harmony with His judgment, and he was given; a kingdom that none after him would have, and he was given; and when he finished building the mosque, he asked Allah the Exalted that no one should come into it intending to prayer there but that he would emerge free of sin as on the day his mother bore him.

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ دَاوُدَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا بَنَى بَيْتَ الْمَقْدِسِ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خِلَالًا ثَلَاثَةً سَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حُكْمًا يُصَادِفُ حُكْمَهُ فَأُوتِيَهُ وَسَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مُلْكًا لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَأُوتِيَهُ وَسَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حِينَ فَرَغَ مِنْ بِنَاءِ الْمَسْجِدِ أَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَهُ أَحَدٌ لَا يَنْهَزُهُ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةُ فِيهِ أَنْ يُخْرِجَهُ مِنْ خَطِيئَتِهِ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ
سنن النسائي كِتَاب الْمَسَاجِدِ سأل الله عز وجل حكما يصادف حكمه فأوتيه
 Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “The poor person is not the one who goes around to the people and is dismissed with one or two morsels or dates.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, then who is the poor person?” He said, “The one who does not get enough to satisfy himself although he is not considered self-sufficient such that he is given charity, and he does not beg people for anything.
[Sahih Muslim, Book 5, Number 2261]
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيْسَ الْمِسْكِينُ بِهَذَا الطَّوَّافِ الَّذِي يَطُوفُ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَتَرُدُّهُ اللُّقْمَةُ وَاللُّقْمَتَانِ وَالتَّمْرَةُ وَالتَّمْرَتَانِ قَالُوا فَمَا الْمِسْكِينُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ الَّذِي لَا يَجِدُ غِنًى يُغْنِيهِ وَلَا يُفْطَنُ لَهُ فَيُتَصَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يَسْأَلُ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا
